Flower, Stones and Other Demons

An AREAL collective creation

by/with Alexandra Bălășoiu, Cristina Lilienfeld, Cosmin Manolescu

Flowers, stones and other demons is a collective performance born from a journey into the unconscious of its creators. A metaphor for the human experience, the show is a journey into the universal themes of trauma, love and (dis)organization.

3 choreographers (Alexandra Bălășoiu, Cristina Lilienfeld, Cosmin Manolescu) become performers, commentators, generators of absurd situations, make statements and participate in an emotional striptease, as well as other random events.

A performance that becomes a process in which the audience is invited to go with the artists in an exploration of the self and the problems generated by emotions, capitalism and the repressions of contemporary society.

The show was made within the AREAL program – space for cultural development, program co-financed by the National Cultural Fund Administration and had 3 performances at Teatrelli, in  Bucharest and in Timișoara at the opening of the DANCE ™ event
